My review of Avenue South Residence
Avenue South Residence is being developed jointly by UOL, UIC and Kheng Leong.
It is located at Silat Avenue, off Kampong Bahru Road. Its main selling point will be its excellent location close to the CBD while being just next to the 24km-long Rail Corridor and the Greater Southern Waterfront. It is very close to the upcoming Cantonment MRT station of the Circle Line, while also within walking distance to Outram Park MRT station.
With 1,074 residential units and 13,993 sq ft of commercial space, the 56-storey twin towers of this development will create a new iconic landmark in this area. Interested buyers will have a choice of apartments in the tower blocks, or the “heritage” apartments in the conserved low-rise blocks. Apartments in the tower blocks will enjoy unblocked sea view or city view, while apartments in the conserved blocks will have a rustic appealing feel.
If the pricing is kept affordable, I feel that this project will appeal to many buyers looking to secure a place along or next to the Greater Southern Waterfront, which is likely to cause pricing reverberations in the property market in the many years to come …..
